The brick that feeds the miner: which model goes on which unit, why APW12 and APW17 don't swap, and the two-match rule that stops no-boots.
The PSU is the most-swapped part on the floor. A dead brick is a fast fix - IF you grab the right one. The wrong model bolts on and looks fine but won't boot, or drags a hashboard down. Read the printed label before you swap.
| PSU | Powers | Output | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bitmain APW12 | S19 generation | 12-15 V DC, 200-240 V AC in | Sub-versions differ by the printed label only - match the label |
| Bitmain APW17 | Selected models only; verify the exact OEM compatibility table | 12-15 V DC, ~267 A | Keyed DC connector - does NOT interchange with APW12 |
| Whatsminer (integrated) | Built into the miner | Wide-input power module | Diagnose; use an approved matching-PSU service or RMA path |
Same maker does not establish electrical or connector compatibility. Check the exact miner and PSU revision.
Whatsminer does not ship a separate brick. The power supply is a wide-input module integrated into the miner chassis.
Input voltage, phase, connector and PSU compatibility are model-specific. Use the exact miner/PSU nameplate and OEM installation specification before selecting a supply or replacement.
