This is shared Avalon A-Series reference material covering 5 models. Components, supply voltage/phase, PSU, cooling and service procedures vary by model and revision. Use the exact model nameplate and OEM manual; shared examples do not establish compatibility.
The interfaces a technician lives in: the miner's own web UI, the discovery tools that find units on the network, the monitoring API fleet software polls, and the batch tools that manage thousands at once.
Config-mode default IP is 192.168.168.168 - browse to http://192.168.168.168/ and log in root/root to set network + pools. Modern integrated units get their own DHCP IP and web UI.
Avalon speaks the cgminer API on TCP 4028: summary, stats, pools, and the rich estats (PVT arrays, TA, ECHU/ECMM, PS, GHSmm/avg). This feeds Foreman/Hive/minerstat.
| Command | Returns | Example |
|---|---|---|
| summary | Top-line hashrate + status. | {"command":"summary"} |
| estats | Per-chip PVT temp/voltage, TA, ECHU, ECMM, PS, GHSmm/avg. | {"command":"estats"} |
| pools | Configured pools + status. | {"command":"pools"} |
Canaan's Farm Management System (FMS) discovers miners, sets temp thresholds, pushes pools, and does batch firmware upgrades/reboots/pool switches. The Master/Minermaster app handles smaller sets.
