This is shared Whatsminer M30 / M50 / M60 Series reference material covering 13 models. Components, supply voltage/phase, PSU, cooling and service procedures vary by model and revision. Use the exact model nameplate and OEM manual; shared examples do not establish compatibility.
The interfaces a technician lives in: the miner's own web UI, the discovery tools that find units on the network, the monitoring API fleet software polls, and the batch tools that manage thousands at once.
MicroBT's official Windows batch tool and the PRIMARY field utility. Scan a subnet, batch-configure pools, upgrade firmware, reboot, toggle power mode (Low/Normal/High), Fastboot, restore DHCP, factory reset - and, critically, CHANGE the admin password + ENABLE the API (required before any write-API works).
Whatsminer's control/monitoring API over TCP 4028 (same port as cgminer). Read commands are open and plaintext; WRITE commands need a token (get_token) + AES-256 encryption AND the admin password changed off default. Times out after 10 s; max 16 client IPs.
| Command | Returns | Example |
|---|---|---|
| summary | MHS av/5s, Temperature, Env Temp, Fan Speed In/Out, Power, Power Mode/Limit, Uptime. | {"cmd":"summary"} |
| edevs | Per-hashboard: Slot, Status, Temperature, Chip Frequency, Effective Chips, PCB SN. | {"cmd":"edevs"} |
| get_psu | PSU model (e.g. P221B), Vin, Iin, Pin, fan speed, temp, serial. | {"cmd":"get_psu"} |
| get_error_code | Active fault codes with timestamps, e.g. {"329":"2022-01-17 11:28:11"}. | {"cmd":"get_error_code"} |
| get_miner_info | Network/identity: ip, proto (dhcp/static), mac, hostname, minersn. | {"cmd":"get_miner_info"} |
Browse to the miner's IP (often HTTPS with a self-signed cert warning). Default login admin / admin - CHANGE it immediately (the write-API won't work until you do). Shows dashboard status, pools, network config, and error codes.
